A distress call was received yesterday at 4pm from the Hotel Ixchel, located on North Beach, near the end of Hidalgo avenue. A child between the ages of 7 and 10 years was reported to have suffered an accident in the pool at the center of the hotel. The Red Cross, Civil Protection, and municipal police went to the hotel, where witness told them that the child was in the pool, when his foot went into a suction filter, which prevented him from staying afloat. His father realized what was happening and tried to rescue his son, but this caused injuries to his arm, due to the force required to remove it from the suction device.
La tarde de ayer a las 4:00 se recibió una llamada de auxilio del hotel Ixchel, que se localiza en la zona de playa norte, sobre la avenida Hidalgo, ya que se reportaba que un infante ente 7 y 10 años de edad había sufrido un accidente en la piscina de este centro de hospedaje, al lugar llegaron la Cruz Roja, protección civil y la policía municipal, donde según los testigos informaron que este menor se encontraba en el interior de esta alberca, cuando su pie se introdujo en un filtro de succión impidiendo salir a flote este infante, su padre al percatarse de este incidente, trato de rescatar a su hijo, pero le ocasiono daños en su brazo, debido a la fuerza empleada para sacarlo de este artefacto de succión.
A young man by the name of Jose Gutierrez hit the curb and he fell out of the golf cart he was driving, allegedly in an intoxicated state, at 7am yesterday on prolongation Rueda Medina. The cart belongs to the rental agency "Pepe", and is #12.
