Most of this information was translated yesterday. It is noted that the driver of taxi 215, Andres R has denied the allegations that he molested a foreigner last weekend, and says he only drove her to her home in colonia La Gloria. A municipal employee said he knows this taxi driver and he has never been involved in problems, much less of this type. However, in this case, it is his word against that of the alleged aggrieved. The taxi and its driver were identified on a security video from a home, which shows the woman leaving the cab at the place where she lives. The foreigner traveled to the United States on Tuesday and will return on Monday, and plans to file a complaint of sexual abuse with the Public Ministry. The leader of the taxi union has said that the driver will be discharged from the union if he is guilty of the allegations.

The City will continue to have an ongoing program of street patching
With the arrival of rainy season, the City has reactivated the street patching program at various parts of the island with the intention of rehabilitating the roads and thereby ensuring the free transit of vehicles and people. City workers with the Department of Public Services have been given 20 cubic meters of stone material to start filling in some of the potholes that have appeared recently. The City has asked for the cooperation of the residents in not blocking the areas where they are placing the compacted material to seal the potholes, which will ensure more effective work. This is an ongoing program of patching but efforts have been increased now when the rains cause a greater risk of affecting the streets and avenues.

A motorcycle disappeared in colonia Miraflores that was parked on the sidewalk, where the owner usually leaves it, on Garza Azul Street. It was stolen in the wee hours three days ago, and still had not been located as of Wednesday. The owner requested anonymity and said he doesn't trust the ministerial authorities because of several unresolved issues. His friends are helping him find and recover the vehicle, since he has documents to verify it is his property.
The information has already been translated about the two burglaries of property of Sr. Avila, who posted security camera footage on social media.
A resident said there are drug users who dare to enter homes in the daytime where there are only women and children and act like they are confused, but it's a trick that is working for people dedicated to stealing.

Solving public lighting problems

Inspections are being done to improve public lighting in the Continental Zone, which is complicated by the fact that several colonias are not on the CFE (Federal Electrical Commission) electrical grid. The municipal program to improve lighting has begun on the island, with lights being replaced in several sections, but the work remains to be done in Sac Bajo. They will be renewing 80 lights on the island and about 300 on the mainland. There are a few more than 30 colonias on the mainland, of which less than half have light (electricity), and electrification is expected to progress to another segment of the population this year.
