Sunday Isla Mujeres continued to report a total of 272 cases of C-19, with 24 deaths and six more recovered for a total of 223. For 2/7, the state geoportal continues to report 9 active cases in Isla Mujeres as: Downtown-1, Salina Grande-1, 23 de noviembre-4, Miraflores-2 and La Gloria-1.


 

Monday Isla Mujeres continued to report a total of 272 cases of C-19, with 24 deaths and 223 recovered. For 2/8, the state geoportal continues to report 9 active cases in Isla Mujeres as: Downtown-1, Salina Grande-1, 23 de noviembre-4, Miraflores-2 and La Gloria-1. The Growth Rate in the Northern Zone decreased from 0.53 to 0.48

 


 On Thursday night, the Governor said that the  Contagion Risk Rate in our Northern Zone remains between 1.09 and 1.10. He'd said it was 1.11 the previous two weeks since we went from Yellow to Orange on Jan. 25th.

 About 30 people, municipal employees and residents, participated in a cleanup of the Community Development Center on the island, coordinated by SIPINNA (National System of Protection of Children and Adolescents). They removed 35 bags of general trash and brush.

 IM Noticias reports that the Molina-Avionmar company, are planning to provide ferry service between Isla Mujeres and Puerto Juarez using the boats previously owned by Maritimos Magaña and the Marinsa company. Named "Jetway I and II", the ferries will be orange and white. The service is expected to begin in February, but this has not been confirmed by the company nor the port authorities.

 The last photo was when they were Magana's and the third and second are before & after Marinsa brought them back to Isla.

 



This morning, Chancellor Marcelo Ebrard announced that vaccinations against C-19 will resume nationwide next week with the arrival of  491,400 doses of the Pfizer vaccine. He said doses are also coming from AstraZeneca and of the Sputnik V vaccine.

The head of COFEPRIS (Federal Commission for the Protection against Sanitary Risks) announced that gyms in Quintana Roo must carry out their operations outdoors

      The official, Miguel Alejandro Pino Murillo, said that public transport must operate at a maximum of 50% capacity, and there are 123 'verifiers' throughout the state, as well as support from the Mobility Institute INMOVEQROO. He said that in the case of maritime passenger transport, the ferries are allowed a capacity of up to 75 percent, since they are under federal jurisdiction. He said that two of the ferry companies, which includes Ultramar, have been sanctioned and required to pay fines of more than 100,000 pesos. He said there are ongoing inspections that these companies are complying with all health protocols.
