Eight out of ten fishermen have problems maintaining their outboard motors, and governmental support is needed. About 200 fishermen with boats face this problem, and the replacement of 60 horsepower Yamaha engine is expensive. The municipal government has not assisted with this in the past three years, and they lack assistance from state or federal sources. They hope the municipal government will help them this year. This has been a good week for most of the fishermen, with good catches of fish and lobster.
