City of Isla Mujeres thru the DIF organizes a grand Christmas Festival for Saturday (tonight)!

The municipal Department of Ecology, with assistance from the Youth Institute, conducted a day of cleaning areas of mangrove along Prolongation Rueda Medina, in the area known as Devil's Curve, with the goal of conservation of the mangroves and raising awareness among the youth about the importance of keeping the community clean, to make Isla Mujeres a healthy town with a clean environment.
La Dirección de Ecologia con el apoyo de la Instancia de la Juventud llevaron a cabo una jornada de limpieza en áreas con vegetación de manglar en la prolongación Av. Rueda Medina, mejor conocida como “curva de diablo” en la ínsula.
Con el objetivo de la conservación del manglar y concientizar a los jóvenes acerca de la importancia de mantener limpia la comunidad, que llevarán a Isla Mujeres a ser un municipio saludable y con entorno limpio.

Visit restaurants, bars, & beach clubs that are minutes away by bike or on foot. Our guests recommend the Yoga classes a couple villas away at hotelito Casa Ixchel. 7pm Tonight at dome in La Gloria...DIF Chrismas Festival

The DIF event will take place Saturday, Dec. 20 at under the dome in colonia La Gloria, with entertainment, refreshments, and prizes for young and old. The festival will begin at 6pm at the kindergarten "Enriqueta Comarillo" with a caravan of vehicles including trucks, cars, motos, golf carts, tricycles, and bicycles, that will pass thru the colonias distributing sweets, treats, and gifts to children along the way, and inviting them to attend the event. The procession will end at the dome in La Gloria, where there will be lots of fun with music and performances by several shows, and refreshments will be provided. Prizes will be awarded, and it is hoped that many families will enjoy this Christmas party.


Saturday December 27th Golf Cart Parade...assemble at 5:30 p.m. outside Casa Luna Turquesa on Aeropuerto road where the street widens, near Casa Ixchel & Da Luisa
