With joy and excitement hundreds of children, teens and adults enjoyed the Christmas festival offered Ms. Marthy Vargas Magana, honorary president fo the System for Integral Family Development (DIF) and the mayor Agapito Magaña Sanchez.
Con alegría y emoción cientos de niños, jóvenes y adultos disfrutaron del festival navideño que ofrecieron la Sra. Marthy Vargas de Magaña presidenta del Sistema para el Desarrollo Integral de la Familia (DIF) y el presidente municipal Agapito Magaña Sánchez.

The team Pescadores (fishermen) of Isla Mujeres received a trophy yesterday from the mayor Agapito Magana Sanchez, for winning the championship in the State Baseball league Beto Avila.
 El equipo Pescadores de Isla Mujeres, entregaron ayer al presidente municipal Agapito Magaña Sánchez, el trofeo que se adjudicaron por el campeonato en la Liga de Beisbol Estatal Beto Ávila.


Dec. 22: Anniversary of the death of Jose Maria Morelos
Hoy 22 de Diciembre, Aniversario Luctuoso de Jose María Morelos.

He was a Catholic priest and revolutionary rebel leader who led the Mexican War of Independence movement, assuming its leadership after the execution of Miguel Hidalgo  in 1811. He was captured by the Spanish colonial authorities and executed in 1815.

Visit restaurants, bars, & beach clubs that are minutes away by bike or on foot. Our guests recommend the Yoga classes a couple villas away at hotelito Casa Ixchel. Fresh juice, produce & tortillas a few blocks away in the village, as well as a variety of other stores and small local restaurants.
