Rain caused flooding
Fuertes inundacionesHeavy rain in the morning at 9am caused flooding and temporary road closures, detouring traffic in some areas of the island. Near the park in colonia La Gloria it took several hours for the water to drain away. Plastic litter in the drains caused problems with drainage. Affected streets included Isla Contoy avenue in La Gloria and Canario street that goes to colonia Canotal. There were some puddling in colonias Salina Chica, Meteorologica, and Salina Grande without any major problems.
There was no more rain during the rest of the day, although the skies were overcast, tourism activity was maintained and the fishermen were able to go out to work. The rain was associated with the cold front, which didn't cause strong winds.
