The security guard of a beer company was found dead from knife wounds, presumably from an attempted robbery. VIDEO
Attempted robbery ends life of security guard LINK
June 6 A security guard for the beer company "Cuauhtémoc Moctezuma" was brutally murdered this morning by individuals who tried to steal money from the company's safe. The attempted robbery occurred this morning when the suspects cut the security wires and then went over the wall.
Once inside the property, they entered the offices and surprised the security guard. It is presumed that the now-deceased guard tried to repel the aggressors, but in the end, knife wounds ended his life. According to preliminary information, were 12 wounds from a knife found in his body, which supports the theory that he was in a fight with the suspects.
The tragic news spread like wildfire this morning when police came to the facility, after other employees discovered the crime scene. Paramedics with the Red Cross arrived, but couldnt do anything, since the employee had passed away several hours earlier. The red code was activated at an early hour when other personnel with the company began to arrive to work, and they found the security guard's body.
The authorities confirmed that A.H.G, 51, worked as a security guard, and was originally from Tabasco, but had a family in Isla Mujeres. Agents with the Prosecutor's Office confirmed that the motive could have been theft, since inside the building there was a safe and a vault, (una caja fuerte y una bóveda), which they could not open.
In the interior, a bloody knife was found, but until now it is unknown if there were two or three suspects involved in the crime.
According to information gathered by the reporter, the security alarms for the building were activated around 4:30am and the police went to the property, but they could not do anything because, according to the police, nobody answered the door, since there was only a security guard there.

IM Hoy reports similar information as TVIM and Por Esto about the security guard, noting that the body was found in the dorsal decubitus position (on his back) with grey industrial tape on his wrists, but not tied. The other security guard, JDRC, 48, came to relieve him at 7am, but to his surprise he found personnel outside, and his supervisor told him there had been an accident, and then he learned that his co-worker, AHG, had lost his life in what was apparently an attempted robbery. The FGE stated that the deceased received 11 stab wounds. The body was transferred to Cancun for an autopsy, and then will be turned over to the family so they can give him a Christian burial.

Security guard killed
Agente de seguridad asesinado [+] Ver mas
A security agent of the Central Supply (Central de Abasto) facility of a well-known brand of beer, was killed inside the building yesterday at dawn by a dozen stab wounds inflicted by people who had tried to open a safe according to officials wit the Prosecutor's office who have begun an investigation.
The facility's alarms were activated at 4:30 am, and the police went to the property, but they left after no one nobody opened the gate.. By then, the burglars would have already be inside, having entered over the back wall and the cut wires, which is assumed from the presence of pliers and a knife.
The unfortunate watchman, A. H. G., 51, was surprised, and he presumably by offered resistance, and suffered 12 stab wounds, which killed him. Then they tried to open the safe without success, according to preliminary information.
At 7:00 am, when the workers of the Cuauhtémoc Moctezuma brewery arrived to work, they realized there had been a murder and called the police, who cordoned off the area. Agents with the Attorney General of Quintana Roo arrived to initiate an investigation.
This violent act caused concern and alarm among residents and business owners, especially in consideration of successive violent events in Isla Mujeres in recent times, which is a phenomenon that did not happen previously.
The experts of the Prosecutor's Office confirmed that the motive could have been theft, since inside the building there was a safe, which they could not open. "Those who committed this crime would have entered by jumping a wall, cut a wire, because they left behind a pliers and a knife."
Initially, there had been talk of strangulation, but this afternoon it was clarified that death was caused by multiple stab wounds to different parts of the abdomen, because the watchman was an ex-military officer, and it is presumed he would have resisted the assault.
At 08:30am, relatives of the unfortunate man arrived, they lamented the facts, and they reproached the police for the insecurity in which the people live. The three women relatives were inconsolable, and they waited on the sidewalk in front of the military hospital, which is in front of the beer facility, for the experts to conduct their procedures.
Everything indicates that the company has a closed circuit system of security cameras, which should allow the identification of those responsible for the assault.
