Beach activities without problems or incidents
Actividades en playas, sin contratiempos
April 19 With large numbers of tourists visiting the beaches, there had been no incidents or problems as of Friday afternoon, except many requests for swimmers not to go beyond the buoy line. The buoy line by Hotel Mia was broken in the past few days when a boat moored to it, so that 200 meters currently lacks a buoy line.On Thursday, about 100 people were advised not to leave the area inside the buoys, because this puts them at risk from the boats, especially in the area of the Navigation Channel in front of Playa Centro. Yesterday there was a request to find a Mexican girl, who was located within about 20 minutes.
The ferries to Puerto Juarez and the Cancun Hotel Zone were making extra crossings, and the three ferries operating out of Punta Sam were bringing plenty of compact vehicles, people, and cargo trucks.

BREVES DE ISLA MUJERES
Cold Front #52 arrives with light rain after 2p on Friday, with some thunder, which prevented some families from enjoying the beach. However, the front didn't arrive with as much force as expected, as it encountered the "Surada" that had been causing strong winds of 35 km/hr. By 3:15 the rain had increased, but then it stopped a half hour later.A large 65 cubic meter storage tank for propane will be installed at the Zeta Gas facility, to have the capacity to supply the island for several days in the event of a hurricane, as well as a large 85 cubic meter water tank and fire prevention system. A modern, volume-controlled dispenser system was recently inaugurated at the facility.
