Providing information about program providing insurance for women who are heads of households

The City of Isla Mujeres launched an intensive informational campaign about the benefits of the federal insurance program for female heads of household, via the municipal Department of Social Development. They intend to reach as many families as possible to share information about this and other federal governmental programs.
The program provides life insurance for mothers age 12-68 for their children up to 23 years of age who are still in school, providing payments every two months if the female head of household dies. In the case of preschool children the payment is 600 pesos, for those in primary school it is 1000 pesos, for high school students it is 1800 pesos, and for university students it is 2000 to 3700 pesos.
Like all social programs, there are certain requirements to ensure the support is given to those who actually need it. In the case of insurance for female heads of households, the requirement is that the beneficiary must be a female Mexican (Mexicana),  between the age of 12 and 68, and the mother of at least one child under 23 years of age.
The City of Isla Mujeres invites all the mothers in the municipality who meet the requirements to register for this and other programs to go to the Social Development Department offices at the Community Center at Plaza Habitat with a copy of their CURP, voter ID, and to fill out the forms.

Ferries could be subject to sanctions
Navieras serán sujetas a sanción .. [+] Ver mas
The three ferry companies could be sanctioned for the second time in five years for conducting monopolistic practices, with the fine to be resolved within three months, according to information from COFECE (Federal Competition Commission). You may recall that in 2009 a lawsuit forced the municipal government to intervene when the Port Authority (APIQRoo) 'added' the assistance to the companies who had the same rate in Isla Mujeres, and from that there was a COFECE investigation in Cozumel, resulting in a fine of 25,750,000 pesos in 2011.
This new complaint began on May 8, 2014, when it was alleged that these companies maintained the same policy, by a hidden agreement, which is not in the interests of the public, and now it appears that the law may be violated again, and the penalties will be know in three months, according to the COFECE website, which mentions the investigation. The fines, which will be known in more than 90 days can be for 10 percent of total revenues, up to ten years imprisonment for those responsible.

I'll get back to this later or manana.....
