The woman who identified the inspector on social networks was not found and did not file a complaint. Allegations were made online that this was an abuse of authority and an alleged physiological abuse of a child. If a complaint were filed, responsibility could be determined about these allegations, or if there were a flagrant situation.
In this situation, the DIF staff explained that they are limited to being in contact with the family, where the child could be placed under the guardianship of his uncle, who helps the family financially to afford school supplies. The DIF may be able to connect them with any available assistance or circumstances that could be useful, such as a scholarship or permit to work.
It is noted that the child studied at the primary school "Rafael Ramirez Casteneda" in the municipality of Chemax, Yucatan. The DIF staff member, José María Lorenzano explained that the Mayor is the boss of the City employee, who can determine what actions should be taken in response to the allegations.

Here are the results from the 4th Lion Fish Gastronomic Competition which had good participation and an interested audience. There were two categories, whole fish and filets.
The winners in the whole fish category are: First Place, Donald Carreño Suarez; Second Place, Zama Beach Club; and Third Place, Javi's Restaurant Cantina.
In the filet category the winners are: First Place, Zama Beach Club; Second Place, Donald Carreño Suarez; and Third Place, Leyfti Ruiz Briceño.
Interesante y participativo resultó el IV Concurso Gastronómico con Base en Pez León realizado este fin de semana y que constó de dos categorías: de ejemplares enteros y filetes de la especie.
Los ganadores en la primera categoría fueron: primer lugar, Donald Carreño Suarez; segundo lugar, Beach Club Zama y tercer lugar, Rest. Javis Cantina.
Mientras que en la categoría de filete, el veredicto del jurado quedó de la siguiente manera: Beach Club Zama, primer lugar; Donald Carreño Suarez, segundo lugar y Leyfti Ruiz Briceño, tercer lugar.

Ready to festival of the patron saint of fishermen: Our Lady of Charity

The feast of Our Lady of Charity, patron saint of fishermen, will be held August 30 to September 8, when the Virgen de la Caridad del Cobre, will be taken to the fishermen's camp on Isla Contoy. On Sept. 7, Las Mañanitas will be sung, and there will be a Mass at 10pm. Then on September 8th at 10am, the boats will depart for Isla Contoy.
This will be the 17th annual procession to Isla Contoy, which is a distance of 500 kilometers. All five fishing cooperatives are invited to attend, and there are usually at least 500 Catholics who make the trip, in small or medium sized boats. The wooden icon was originally made in Cuba, commissioned as a gesture of brotherhood between our two island communities.
On Tuesday at 7pm, there will be a Mass at the chapel of Caridad del Cobre in colonia Miraflores, followed by a procession thru the main street of the colonia and to colonia Canotal. Hundreds of members of the families of the fishermen are expected to participate. At the end of the religious event, there will be a small festival with performances by the Ballet Folklórico Mestizas de Agua Salada and the youth dance troupe Añoranzas, in front of the chapel, where each day the cooperatives will have religious events.

According to the Saturday evening (4pm) weather report from the SCT, effects from Tropical Wave #25 were expected to have effects on the coastal and maritime areas of Quintana Roo and the Yucatan Channel on Saturday night and early Sunday. It could cause gusting winds from the northeast at 20-30 kilometers per hour with waves up to 1.5 meters. This is an unusual type of wind during the summer, and is in the opposite direction of the ocean current crossing the waters of Quintana Roo, on the main route to Florida.
The effects of the shift to the west of the tropical wave located in the western Caribbean sea could bring and increased chance of cloudiness with light to moderate showers, associated with electrical activity, reduced visibility, and possible squalls to the coastal & maritime areas of Quintana Roo, mainly in the northern region. Warm temperatures are expected for the rest of Sunday, and boats are advised to be cautious off the Q Roo coastal areas and in the Yucatan Channel.
On Saturday at 4pm, Tropical wave 25 was located in the western Caribbean Sea, between the latitudes of 21/11 degrees North and between the longitudes of 083/084 degrees West, moving west at a speed of 19-28kph.
On Saturday, touristic activities took place at sea and on land, with many people on the beaches, many taking tours to the whale shark area, and 200 visitors going to Isla Contoy, which is the maximum allowed. More than 70 percent of the fleet of golf carts of 550 vehicles were rented by visitors touring the island.
It is partly cloudy with very calm seas at 8:30am.

The Isla Mujeres baseball teams "Pescadores" and "Cockteros" are the champions and runners up in the Tech Baseball League (Liga Tecnológica de Beisbol). Their best players will participate in the All Star game scheduled for Sunday, at noon, in the baseball park in Puerto Morelos, which was confirmed by Jorge Fernando de la O. There are fourteen teams in the league, from the municipalities of Benito Juarez, Isla Mujeres, Cozumel, Playa del Carmen, and Puerto Morales.

Stroll five minutes southward down the coastal sidewalk to Mango Cafe, Bahama Mama, Brisas, or Manolitos. Walk less than 10 minutes southwest to shop at Chedraui or to dine at Green Verde, Kash Kechen Chuc, or other options. Visit marinas, bars, & beach clubs that are minutes away by bike or on foot.
