Estimates of up to 30,000 tourists daily during Easter holidays

Decenas de miles, cada día

During Easter season in 2018, the two Port Authority maritime terminals received about 25,000 tourists daily, in addition to those that came over on other boats including catamarans, trimarans and other recreational boats. Municipal and state authorities estimate that 20,000 to 30,000 tourists could arrive daily during the upcoming holidays. Civil Protection lifeguards reported that the buoy line is in optimal condition.
The Mayor reported that measures are in place to provide security for visitors and ensure they enjoy the attractions of the island safely. Security is coordinated between the three levels of government on the beaches, for swimmers, and in the streets. The agencies include Civil Protection, the Navy, Public Services, Municipal Police, and the Red Cross.
The tourism service providers, hoteliers, nautical industry and fishermen are prepared to meet the needs of the thousands of tourists who will visit daily. The Easter holidays are a busy time on the island, with good economic results, and many Mexican tourists visiting. The amount of trash being generated nearly doubles, and measures are being taken to meet the demand and keep the island clean. Residents are asked to cooperate with keeping the island clean.

Use banks for loans & avoid usury

Y si está adentro ¡pida préstamo al banco!

This information has already been translated about complaints concerning high interest, usurious loans called "Gota a Gota" (Drop by Drop). It is noted that these are an attractive answer when people need money quickly who don't have access to a bank loan, but that it is a vicious circle, with illegally high rates, and may involve criminal groups. It is recommended that those who are involved obtain a bank loan to pay it off.
