With the appearance of large numbers of mosquitoes, the Ministry of Health (SESA) intensified the work of nebulization, with the intention of avoiding diseases such as dengue and zika. Yesterday SESA workers sprayed Las Hormiguitas Park in colonia Meteorological and Las Tortugas Park in colonia Las Gloria, where the residents had requested that these actions be carried out. The vector department workers said this activity will be continued next week.
A month ago, the City began a junk removal campaign with four to five tons of junk collected daily, benefiting the health of all island families. Residents are asked to cooperate by covering, eliminating, or turning over containers where water can collect to be a breeding ground for mosquitoes.

Boat junkyard is a mosquito breeding ground
http://www.tvislamujeres.com.mx/criadero-de-moscos-en-ceme…/
There is a junkyard of boats at the end of the runway where mosquitoes can breed in the standing water that accumulates inside them. Although the salina lakes have been blamed for the amount of mosquitoes in the colonias of Salinas and Electricistas, the boats might be a cause. This graveyard of boats at the end of the airfield has gone unnoticed both by the Ministry of the Navy and the Ministry of Health. The majority of these boats are vessels that have been impounded for some crime and abandoned by the Fifth Naval Region.

Ultramar launches ferry with capacity for 800 passengers
http://www.tvislamujeres.com.mx/estrena-ultramar-barco-con…/
- The Ultramar company says they are ready to face this summer season, with a total of 8 boats making up its fleet, including a new boat with a capacity for 800 passengers.
Company representative Mr. Baez Vega said one of their boats arrived from Cozumel yesterday, with which they will reinforce the operation of the route between Isla Mujeres and Gran Puerto to prevent long lines during peak hours.
He said the company has always been committed to quality service, and due to the increasing demand of passengers, it was decided to bring one of the company's bigger boats from Cozumel, in exchange for the "Piolín" which has a capacity of 400 passengers.
"This way the fleet will be maintained with eight boats, offering a capacity of up to 2,450 seats every half hour," he said. It is recalled that it was during the last holiday season of Easter when the Mixcoalt joined the flotilla, the problem of  long lines still occurred. It is noted that Ultramar is the only company offering passenger service from Puerto Juarez, since the Magana company discontinued service.

Friends of Isla Contoy have a traveling exhibition on display. There were a large number of participants from the island motorcycle clubs "Mala Noche" and "Evolución", as well as a well-known automotive brand.
