CFE  doing preventative and corrective maintenance to the lines: Guaranteeing service

Darán mantenimiento preventivo y correctivo a las líneas

Lanrry PARRA
The maintenance work that is being carried out in upcoming days includes thermography of the infrastructure, with the goal of providing continuous service that is free of blackouts. When they have the results of the thermography, they will draft a comprehensive maintenance plan, which aims to correct spots where there is overheating of the lines, and to correct any type of irregularities with the intention of having an infrastructure that is in good condition.
The superintendent of the CFE Federal Electrical Commission of the southern part of the state,  Jorge García Castillo explained that many times this is the problem causing nuisance outages, which they intend to prevent with these measures, throughout the lines distributed around the island. This problem is common on the island because it is caused by corrosion, and the entire infrastructure is exposed, as well as the overhead lines. This comprehensive maintenance will take place over the next two months and seeks to provide service that is as efficient as possible with electrical lines that are operating optimally throughout the year.

Boat suffers breakdown at sea

This article isn't downloading right now, but I read it yesterday & it said one of the Ultramar ferries had a mechanical breakdown, so another one of their boats towed it to the dock, and no one was very inconvenienced.

Due to the winds generated by the 'nortes' or fronts from the north number 25, 26, and 28, the fishermen had nearly ten days when they were unable to work. There were some who were able to go out Monday when the weather eased up. There is a month and a half of the lobster catching season remaining, and the members of the cooperatives  Caribe, Patria y Progreso, Isla Blanca y Makax want to focus their efforts on catching the crustaceans, with nets, traps, or diving.

Sewage invades homes
Aguas negras invaden domicilios[+] Ver mas
A drainage blockage apparently caused sewage to back up into some apartments on Madero street, which adjoin a convenience store. Aguakan attempted to resolve the problem over the weekend but the tenants said sewage water was coming up their drain. Another type of machine is being brought in on early Tuesday by Aguakan to remove the blockage. The owners of the apartments had to move their foreign clients to another location.
