Everything is ready for the patron saint festivities LINK 
  The 50th anniversary of the foundation of the Church of Immaculate Conception will also be celebrated, which was built in 1968. The festivities will begin on Nov. 28, and the activities will include opening and closing dances.
     Monsignor Pedro Pablo Elizondo with visit on Dec. 5 and perform the confirmations. Monsignor Fabio Castilla, originally from Isla Mujeres, will participate on  closing dates of December 6, 7 and 8. Monsignor Fabio Castilla said that he will be present at the mañanitas (sung before midnight on the night of Dec. 7th) and that he will also participate in the procession of the Virgin. (There is a procession when she is taken down from her niche in the church on Nov. 28 and another when she is returned after celebrating her day on Dec. 8).

The Sunday evening "Noches Magicas" performances have been resumed on the Town Square featuring local culture and performers. (This Sunday the Senior Citizen's choir will perform, accompanied by Jose Concepcion Najera, and Ernesto Rodriguez will also sing, starting at 8pm.)

Citizen forums scheduled  

Realizarán foros de participación “Yo Decido Mi Futuro”

The first forum will be held at the Community Center in colonia La Gloria on November 14 at 10am on the topic of "Food Security" and on the same day at 5pm there will be a forum at the Casa de la Cultura titled "Fight Against Poverty" and one in the City Council room on "Balanced Economic Growth".  "Fight Against Poverty" forums will also be held at the sports field in colonia Electricistas at 6p and at the kiosk in colonia Salina Chica at 7pm. The forums on "Allies for Isla Mujeres" will be held at 8pm on the softball field and at the Green Dome at 9p and 10pm.

Weather conditions were favorable for the fishermen and tour operators in small boats. It is noted that hotel occupancy didn't exceed 60 percent and that statistic is expected to increase later in the month. Restaurants and golf cart agencies are also said to be operating at around 60 percent and expecting business to increase as high season arrives. Weather conditions were favorable for all types of touristic activities.

Visit marinas, bars, & beach clubs that are minutes away by bike or on foot. Attend Yoga classes a couple villas away at hotelito Casa Ixchel. Thursday, Nov. 1 All Saint's Day   Dia de los Muertos
Festival for The Souls of the Dead with Dance, Music, and traditions. The procession will begin at 6pm beside the downtown Cemetery, going down Hidalgo, and ending at the Casa de a Cultura. There will be an exhibition of altars from different states of Mexico and a presentation of a Un Tzompantli (rack of skulls), performances by artists from the schools of dance and music, and a competition of Catrina costumes. Coordinated by Jean Piaget school. Most of the participants in the procession are in catrina makeup or wearing regional clothing, and the rest are in white, and they carry candles.
