The delegate of the Ministry of Agrarian, Territorial and Urban Development (Sedatu) Cástulo Ramírez García, met with municipal authorities to discuss the following federal programs: Habitat, Recovery of Public Space and Fair Housing. (Hábitat, Rescate de Espacio Públicos & Vivienda Digna). The delegate said, "Regarding the Habitat program, which is the main investment in the municipality, it includes 32 social actions and four iconic works (cuatro obras emblemáticasas) such as Public Lighting along the Salina Grande walking path, and enlargement of the Community Development Center in Colonia La Gloria, with an estimated overall investment of ~6.1 million pesos for this project."

The program to Renovate Public Spaces (Rescate de Espacio Públicos) includes ~1.9 million pesos to be invested in the Salina Grande Sports Complex.
The Fair Housing program will build 25 basic home units with a federal
investment of nearly 1.6 million pesos, and 119 additions of bedrooms
for nearly 2.4 million pesos, and 23 roofs with an investment of nearly
315,000 pesos.

The general hospital provides care 365 days a year and will be open on Sept. 15 & 16th. During the anniversary of the declaration of Mexican Independence, there will be three doctors working the shift from 7am to 7pm and two doctors working from 7pm to 7am. The director said the community can be assured that they can go to the hospital for any medical needs and any irregularities should be reported in writing, and in this way bad service can be combated. It is reported that beneficiaries of the Mexicano del Seguro Social (IMSS) and of the Instituto de Seguridad & Servicios Sociales de los Trabajadores del Estado (ISSSTE) will have coverage for their medical needs also.
