Both Zones of the state will remain in Yellow thru Feb. 20th, with the Northern Zone's Contagion Rate at an all-time low of 0.47. This means each infected person is infecting less than 0.5 (one half) another person.  Hospital Occupancy is down to 7%, and at 6% for beds with ventilators, statewide.
The second graphic shows that Hospital Occupancy and Average New Cases are in Green but the Number of New Cases is in Yellow.

An official with COFEPRIS discussed the two oral medications available in pill form, nirmatelvir and ritonavir, authorized in December for treatment of C-19, explaining that they are controlled and available by prescription. People should avoid buying pirated versions from the internet and social media, etc. He said they are used for treatment, not prevention, and have been tested and found to be safe, without serious side effects, and effective for preventing many patients who are already infected with C-19 from becoming more seriously ill and requiring hospitalization. They are helpful in preventing deaths in patients who are already infected.
