Controversial worker no longer at IMSS pharmacy

Lanrry PARRA

ISLA MUJERES, 23 de julio.-
Although there has been no official statement from the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS) in Isla Mujeres, confirmation was obtained that the manager of the pharmacy of the Family Medicine Unit (FMU), Francisco Medina Miguel Rovira,  was discharged on June 6, (sic) as recorded in the official document 249001410100/2012/2015 of this same institution.
The document says, "The termination of the individual employment contract signed between Miguel Rovira Francisco Medina and the IMSS, without liability for the employer", since 6 July, from investigation case number IMMS-ZN-QR / 061/2015 .
Regarding this issue, the manager of the FMU of the IMSS in Isla Mujeres, Miguel Pena Carmona, said he didn't know about any termination of contract and confirmed that at this time the worker Miguel Francisco Medina Rovira is on vacation from Monday July 20 and expected to return to work within two weeks. The IMSS spokesmen said he has no information about this case and that the legal department is in charge of it, and pledged to facilitate the report when he receives it.
It is noted that the case was referred to the Legal department after a complaint was made and a petition was signed on July 6 by unhappy beneficiaries, led by Adara Orlayneta Méndez and Juan Carlos Herrera García, against Medina Rovira, an administrative assistant at the FMU. An announcement had been made on social networks concerning the petition and complaints.
