map for 1/10, Isla Mujeres reports 176 suspicious and 149 negatives.
Growth rate in the Northern Zone has increased from 0.17 to 0.19.

The free sterilization program for cats & dogs continues at the Isla Animals veterinary clinic, headed by Dr. Arturo Dzul, on Thursdays, 10a-2p, to improve conditions among the domestic animals on the island. The head of the municipal Department of the Environment & Ecology said this is an ongoing program because the municipal government is aware of the importance of preventing uncontrolled reproduction which can lead to animal abuse, abandoned strays and public health problems. The populace are invited to take advantage of this program.
More than 25 million students in Mexico's Basic Education system, both public and private, returned to virtual classes today, along with more than 225,000 teachers. In addition, 5.4 million student and nearly 400,000 teachers in the Medio Superior level of the National Education system resumed virtual classes, according to Esteban Moctezuma Barragán, Secretary of Public Education. Jan. 6 Dia de los Tres Reyes/Three Kings Day
The Thor Heyerdahl traveling school-sailboat normally visits in late January-early February with about three dozen high school students on board. Under the tutelage of the experienced crew, the students learn to work together, sailing and navigating, as well as receiving their normal lessons. They sail from Germany to the Caribbean, but it's very possibly suspended this year.
