Tonight the Governor announced that the entire state will return to YELLOW on the state epidemiological light on Monday thru the end of the month. He warned that a single gathering event can have an effect for two months afterwards and affect the economic recovery.

We have partly cloudy blue skies, sunshine, comfortably warm temperatures and abundant whitecaps this morning. Today's forecast includes cloudy skies and warm temperatures, with gusty winds from the southeast, and there's rain expected this weekend, due to Cold Front #36. The purple squigglies on Saturday indicate wind. The first photo is from MaraVilla Caribe Bed & Beach just now, and the other is the North Beach webcam this morning.

If you'd like to donate to food costs for LYSH's Helping Hand "Ayudar" program, message them at this FB LINK   or email info@littleyellowschoolhouse.org.  The first Wednesday they provided 100 free meals of marinated pork shoulder with steamed carrots & potatoes. The second Wednesday they gave away over 150 BBQ chicken dinners with potatoes & steamed carrots, and this week they gave away more than 300 meals of hamburgers & french fries with cookies & muffins. They posted:

“We can’t help everyone, but everyone can help someone.”
The school put out over 300 free meals before we ran out of food.
Words cannot express how important this community is and how wonderful it is to give a little during these stressful times.
If you would like to help with our "AYUDAR" program please message us or email info@littleyellowschoolhouse.org

During a virtual press conference yesterday, the state Secretary of Health, Alejandra Aguirre Crespo, confirmed that there are 5341 health care workers in Quintana Roo who still need to be vaccinated, of whom 1337 are working in hospitals (Second Level Care) and 4004 are working in Primary Care. She said that so far only those working the front lines of Covid-19 care have received their first doses, but all doctors and heath care workers are registered to receive it. She explained that according to the national vaccine plan, priority is being given to the elderly, as well as those who work on the front lines of risk. She said the Federal Government is making serious efforts to acquire more vaccines to serve more people.

The first graphic is an overview of the National Vaccine Campaign schedule with the address for registration for those 60 and over. The second graphic represents the administration of the AstraZeneca vaccine to seniors in the municipality of Bacalar in the southern part of the state and in Leona Vicario in Puerto Morelos. (The C-19 workers who received the first two batches were given the Pfizer vaccine.)
