Isla Mujeres: Sub-site of International Soccer Tournament

Isla Mujeres will be a "sub-site" for the soccer tournament, "Torneo Internacional de Futbol de Veteranos", which features prominent World Cup players from Brazil, Mexico, Chile, and other countries of the American continent. The event will open in Cancun on December 9th and close on Dec. 15th at Mia hotel.
Thirty-two teams are expected to participate in the “Copa Isla y Cancún” in two categories; athletes over 40 and athletes over 50. More information will be available in upcoming weeks.

As you can see from the North Beach webcam at sunrise, it's another sunny morning, with blue skies here, and the satellite picture is looking good too.
Tropical Storm Kirk is forecast to weaken to a tropical depression later today or Saturday, and then degenerate into a low pressure trough. It is currently by the Lesser Antilles, moving west at ~12 mph, which is expected to continue for the next day or two.
On the forecast track, Kirk's center, or its remnants, will move across the eastern and central Caribbean Sea during the next 2 or 3 days. Although the NHC forecast keeps the cyclone for another 24 hours, dissipation could occur much earlier. (Excerpted from the NHC this morning.)
