Body found in advanced state of decomposition
-http://www.tvislamujeres.com.mx/encuentran-cuerpo-en-avanzado-estado-de-descomposicion/
This afternoon the body of a man, Manuel V. B., 53, was found in an advanced state of decomposition inside his home in colonia Salina Chica. A bad odor alerted the neighbors who hadn't seen the deceased for several days, who was a tattoo artist. The preventive police of Isla Mujeres suspect that a heart attack caused the death. Officer Rodolfo Navarrete, who rides a motorcycle patrol vehicle, was the first to arrive at the home of the deceased, located next to the baseball field "El Pescador". Although early versions pointed to a possible suicide, authorities confirmed that it was a natural death. The case is now in the hands of la fiscalía (public prosecutor/District Attorney), who will determine the cause of death. The subject's body was found inside one of the rooms, lying on a hammock and was transferred to Cancun, where the autopsy will be performed.

June 4 The police authorities went to an address in colonia Salina Chica to provide support in the procedures of identification and legal provenance in the case of a man of over 50 years of age, who was found dead in his home, and his relatives had notified the authorities. Judging by the state of decomposition, he had been dead for several days. The site was cordoned off, while the ministerial officials collected information.
The events occurred at noon on Campo Deportivo Street, behind El Pescador baseball park, where relatives of the man found him, who estimated he had been dead for about five days. The house is blue and has an advertisement for tattooing, which was the occupation of the deceased. He appears to have died of a natural death in his hammock, probably of a heart attack.

June 4 The ferries are carrying reduced numbers of passengers during this slow season, until the summer holidays begin. The nautical tourism providers of Puerto Juarez have an advantage over their counterparts of Isla Mujeres because they can include passage to the island from the mainland. Also, there are about sixty larger boats, 40 feet in length or more, who transport about 10,000 passengers during peak seasons.
The tourism office reported that over 3000 tourists visited for the day, enjoying attractions of the island such as the Tortugranja and sculpture garden, among others.

June 4 World Environment Day has been celebrated on June 5 since 1973. In the Makax lagoon of Isla Mujeres, mangroves have been removed and piers have been built without official permission. There is trash that has presumably been left by the boaters who use the piers. There are also concerns about sewage leakage and pollution by petroleum products.
Beach cleaning events are planned for Monday by civil organizations and governmental agencies. The state Port Authority, APIQRoo, have spent several days cleaning the beaches of the Maritime Terminals of Puerto Juarez , Cozumel and Puerto Morelos, with assistance from tourism service providers and citizens. Isla Mujeres is pending.
The weather forecasts include the possibility of rain for Sunday and Monday due to the effects of the remnants of Beatriz and the arrival of Tropical Wave #4 to the area of the Yucatan. It had not rained on the isle except an occasional drizzle.
