On Jan 13, Isla Mujeres continued to report a total of 246 positives, 23 deaths, and six more recovered for a total of 206.
Today, Isla Mujeres reports another case of C-19 for a total of 247, with 23 deaths and 206 recovered. The geoportal for 1/14 reports six active cases by colonia with 1 in La Gloria, 1 in Salina Grande, and 4 in Meteorologico. On the national map for 1/13, Isla Mujeres reports 182 suspicious and 150 negatives.

Effects from Cold Front #23 have been minimal in our municipality and personnel with Civil Protection have been responding to any citizen reports and attending to any accumulations of water in low areas.

TV Isla Mujeres reports that vaccines have not arrived yet to the Isla Mujeres Community Hospital, and the Director said they don't have a date yet. Yesterday, vaccines arrived by air to Cancun, Cozumel and Chetumal, and administration began today. During the first stage, personnel in the C-19 areas of the 20 IRAG (Serious Acute Respiratory Infection) hospitals in the state are scheduled to receive vaccines. This includes doctors, nursing staff, laboratory workers, chemists, orderlies & transport personnel, radiology techs, janitorial staff, ambulance personnel, medical assistants, food handlers, and social workers.
TV Isla Mujeres reports that APIQROO, the state port authority, plans to restore the wooden dock at the Isla Mujeres Maritime Terminal as part of its public works and maintenance plans for port infrastructure in the state this year.

Jan. 6 Dia de los Tres Reyes/Three Kings Day
The Thor Heyerdahl traveling school-sailboat normally visits in late January-early February with about three dozen high school students on board. Under the tutelage of the experienced crew, the students learn to work together, sailing and navigating, as well as receiving their normal lessons. They sail from Germany to the Caribbean, but it's very possibly suspended this year.
