This weekend, the CDC issued new guidelines (recommendations) about ALL international travel, placing most of the world, 180 countries including Mexico, at Level 4. There are none at Level 3, and only 12 at Level 2, with all being islands except Uruguay & South Korea. Level 1 includes 49 countries.
The CDC recommends that ALL international travelers get tested 1-3 days before flying and 3-5 days afterward. They advise staying home a week after travel, even with a negative test, and staying home for two weeks if you don't get tested. While traveling, they advise wearing a mask, distancing, hand washing, and monitoring your health for symptoms.
Mexico is not among the countries whose citizens are prohibited from entry to the United States by presidential proclamation, which currently includes most of Europe, the UK, Ireland, Brazil, China & Iran.
Airlines and the global travel industry have been pushing for countries
to use coronavirus testing as a method to safely open up borders and
travel until a coronavirus vaccine is widely distributed.
The graphic is interactive at the CDC site, where the countries are also listed by level: https://www.cdc.gov/…/2019-ncov/travelers/map-and-travel-no…
