The new system generates passwords to operate the program which operates under the Institutional System for Ports and Merchant Marines (SIPYMM), to provide optimum service to users and to reduce the amount of time for these procedures. It can also save money since there is little or no cost, and no need to hire companies to do the filing for them.

Hopefulness about lobster season
Esperanzados en la temporada de langosta .. [+] Ver mas

Fishermen have begun preparing their gear for lobster season, which begins July 1st, including their nets, traps, and diving equipment. They are members of the five cooperatives in Isla Mujeres: Caribe, Patria y Progreso, Justicia Social, Isla Blanca and Makax. The lobster season will last eight months. Fishermen are complaining about the lack of the governmental program that previously assisted them with replacement of their engines and boats.
It was reported by SAGARPA (Department of Agriculture, Rural Development, Fishing, and Food) that there was a good catch last season of 400 tonnes of lobster, generating a financial impact of 65 million pesos. There is optimism that this amount will be equaled or exceeded this season by the 19 fishing cooperative in Quintana Roo, who have 1500 members.

There are members of the fishing cooperative “Patria y Progreso” who were preparing a written request on Friday requesting that all the property of the organization be sold and the payment be distributed among the sixty members.
The group of dissatisfied members held an informational meeting and announced they have this recourse available under the Cooperatives Law, if there is agreement by a majority of the members. They complain about the lack of transparency in the management of the cooperative and it is estimated that the ~330 square meters of property would sell for at least 20 million pesos. (That's 333,333 pesos or $22,222 dollars/each)

Cloudy skies for most of the day did not prevent the arrival of daytrippers to Isla Mujeres, who could be seen along the malecon of Rueda Medina, as well as on the streets of Morelos, Hidalgo, Juárez, Madero, Abasolo, Matamoros and López Mateos. Tropical wave #6 caused the appearance of threatening rain, but as of 5pm when they were returning to Cancun, not a drop had fallen. However, according to the forecast of CONAGUA (National Water Commission) the system could generate heavy rains at any time. (The sun is shining at 10am, Saturday)
Groups of visitors arrived on boat having purchased recreational package tours, to shop, to visit the beaches, and later to return to Cancun. Merchants said they are not satisfied with the level of sales, but they know it is off-season and expect improvement during the summer holidays.
The dive shops said they were operating at about 60 percent, including their snorkeling trips, which require whale sharks, whose species has not arrived to eat north of Isla Mujeres, and with luck one a day is seen.
CONAGUA issued cautions for boats on Tuesday when there may be winds with gusts exceeding 60 kmph in the southeast part of Mexico, including the the peninsula, coming from the center of the Caribbean Sea.
