Agapito reviews drainage
Facing rain equal to the island record set by Hurricane Wilma
Mayor Agapito Magana Sanchez toured the important areas of the island to verify that the pumps and drains were functioning, with the constant rains that have fallen in recent days. The manager of Aguakan,José Pinzón Sarabia, accompanied him, who said, "Just yesterday was heaviest rainfall with over 100 millimeters of water, which represents 25% of the total water left by the passage of Wilma over the municipality, during three days, in 2005" “Tan sólo el día de ayer se dio la mayor precipitación pluvial en más de 100 milímetros de agua, esto representó alrededor del 25% del agua total que dejó el paso del huracán Wilma durante los tres días por el municipio, en el año 2005”.
Young people between the ages of 15 and 29 years are invited to the casting call to participate as speaker in the program “Poder Joven Radió which will take place on Thursday, Dec 12 in Benito Juarez municipality (Cancun). There are no plans to suspend any crossings by the vehicular ferry, which also provides passenger service, and none of the crossings have been suspended between Isla Mujeres and Puerto Juarez or Grand Harbor. Despite the winds caused by Cold Front #12, service has continued normally, and it is noted that the port was closed to boats under 50 feet in length, which does not include the ferries.

The port remained closed to vessels under 40 feet due to the winds and rains from Cold Front #12, which also has had a negative impact on tourism. The port has been closed to craft under 40 feet since since Friday. The beaches are semi-deserted and the only business with a moderate amount of activity was the golf cart rental agencies.
Tourism activity declines
Decae la actividad turística] Ver mas Hotel occupancy fell to 40% for the Association of Hotels of Isla Mujeres, due to the weather. The few tourists did not descend from their cars, scooters or golf carts to enjoy the tourist attractions, and some visited restaurants while others stayed inside their hotels.
That is dated yesterday. On FB today they are saying 30% occupancy at the Association of Hotels of IM.

This is dated November 14. We had strong winds & rain last night, but so far today, the sun is shining and the skies are blue and partly cloudy. Here's some photos I just took at ~1:30pm. (At 2:30 it is getting greyer and looking like more rain is likely.)
